South Korean newspaper highlighted TV Series “Al Kabir” after airing the "Squid Game" episodes, the Egyptian ambassador to South Korea stated.

"I hosted an Iftar party for a group of friends and representatives of Korean companies and entities, including the Secretary-General of the Korean-Arab Association, and a Korean journalist, whom I talked with about the Egyptian TV series that localized scenes from 'Squid Game'," Khaled Hassan wrote on his Facebook Page.

"The Korean press paid attention to the TV series and published an article about it," Hassan added, affirming that the Korean media appreciated the special customs and traditions of Ramadan in Egypt, which make it distinguish from any other Arab country.

Al Kabir” has achieved huge success during the Ramadan drama marathon, especially when some episodes depicted scenes from "Squid Game".

Being a localization of the Korean TV series, Al Kabir depicted the story in Egyptian culture as the sequences took place at the Mazarita village.

The series is written by Mustafa Saqr, directed by Ahmed El-Gendy, and produced by the Synergy production company. It stars Ahmed Mekky, Bayoumi Fouad, Mohamed Salam, Rahma Ahmed, and many more.
