The Russian Foreign Ministry praised the effective Egyptian and Qatari efforts that resulted in reaching the truce in Gaza and a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.
The Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict attracted Russia’s attention for political and humanitarian reasons.
She added: "On November 24, the truce agreement came into effect between the Israeli authorities and Hamas for a ceasefire and the release of the Israeli hostages, in exchange for the release of a number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons."
