The Federal Communications Supervision Authority in Russia announced a malfunction in a number of services on Russia, including the Telegram and WhatsApp apps, linked to a cyber attack on telecommunications companies.

A number of Russian citizens also faced difficulties in accessing the Wikipedia website and the App Store.
The Federal Communications Supervision Authority announced that the cyber attack had been confronted at approximately 15:00 Moscow time, and the service had returned to operating normally.
According to the decision of the Tverskoy District Court in Moscow, “Meta” company was classified as extremist, and its activities in Russia were prohibited.
