The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of military development, Yuri Borisov, said that the S-500 air defense systems had begun to enter service. Speaking at the Novy Gorizonte forum, Borisov said that the S-500 complex of air defense systems, which combines the functions of air and missile defense, has already begun to enter service.

In addition, Russia promoted a new generation of laser weapons yesterday, including a mobile laser system that President Vladimir Putin announced for the first time in 2018.

Moscow said that it had developed this system to the point that it could disrupt satellites orbiting around the world and destroy drones.

It is worth noting that Putin 2018 unveiled a range of new weapons, including a new ICBM, a small nuclear warhead that can be installed in cruise missiles, underwater nuclear drones, a hypersonic weapon, and a laser weapon.
