Russia Bans Export of Passenger Cars, Ships, and Aircraft

The Russian government has imposed a ban on the export of previously imported cars and other motor vehicles designed to transport people, including trucks and racing cars.

The ban,However, does not apply to vehicles designed to carry 10 people or more.

The Russian Tass news agency reported on Friday, that this measure is valid until December 31, 2022, according to a law published on the website of the cabinet.

The law excluded cars designed to carry 10 people or more, and the ban also applies to passenger and cargo ships, aircraft, yachts and drones.

"The Cabinet’s press service reported that the government had determined a list of goods and equipment previously imported into Russia, which are temporarily prohibited from being exported from the country. In total, it includes more than 200 items of goods, technological, telecommunications, medical equipment, vehicles, agricultural machinery, and electrical equipment," Tass added.
