Rumors are circulating that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has recovered from COVID-19 just nine days after his initial positive test.

The Liverpool star was confirmed to test positive for COVID-19 by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) on two occasions.

Salah missed out on Egypt’s recent back-to-back victories against Togo in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers during the international break.

The EFA then released a statement on Wednesday announcing that Salah's COVID-19 test returned positive again  along with national team compatriot and Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny.

However, reports emerged that Salah recovered from the coronavirus on Sunday after his brother, Nasr Salah, posted a cryptic story on his Instagram account.

Nasr posted a picture with his brother and wrote ‘thank God’, implying that the Liverpool winger returned a negative COVID-19 test.

Despite missing out on Liverpool’s clash against Leicester City on Sunday, Salah could make his return against Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
