The report stated that "a huge part of Europe is currently facing" a warning of a drought, which requires extraordinary measures to manage water and energy in the affected countries.
The report said that about 46% of the territory of the European Union has reached the warning level of a drought, while 11% of the surveyed areas are on high alert, as the reason was attributed to the lack of rainfall due to the early heat waves that occurred in the months of May and June.
It is worth noting that the drought affected the production of agricultural crops in France, Romania, Spain, Portugal, and Italy.
