An official source from inside the Confederation of African Football (CAF) affirmed that it was decided to hold a meeting of the Executive Office on December 10th to set the date for the CAF Super Cup match.

The source indicated that during this meeting the date and place of the Super Cup encounter will be determined.

The source said to YallaKora website: "There will be a meeting of the Executive Office on December 10 to determine the date and location of the CAF Super Cup for the 2020 and 2021 editions."

"Determining the date and venue means putting it up to the Executive Office for approval only, and there is no intention to relocate the 2020 match from Egypt." he added.

The CAF Super Cup will be held between Egypt's Al Ahly, the CAF Champions League champion, and the Moroccan Confederation Cup champion, RS Berkane.

Earlier, RS Berkane had expressed some concern about holding the Super Cup match in Egypt, demanding that it be transferred to a neutral soil or to Qatar, as the previous version.

It is worth noting that Mohamed Fadl, a prominent member of the Egyptian Football Association, had previously announced that the Super Cup match will be held in Egypt on December 10th.
