Ramadan 2023: Riham Hagag Begins Filming TV Series "Gamila"

Egyptian actress, Riham Hagag began Tuesday filming her new TV series "Gamila".

It also stars Sawsan Badr, Abeer Sabry, Ahmed Wafik, Hany Adel, Hisham Ismail, Yosra El Lozy, Nabil Issa, Yasser Ali Maher, Abeer Mounir, Rahma Hassan, Reem Sami, Rehab Hussein, and others.

The project sees Hagag reunite with “U-Turn” creators screenwriter Ayman Salama and director Sameh Abdelaziz.

"Gamila" is set to screen in the Ramadan 2023 drama marathon.

Hagag participated last Ramadan with the TV series “U-Turn”.

“U-Turn” also starred Safaa El-Toukhi, Abeer Sabry, Nourhan, Karim Kassem, Mohamed Kelany, Ayman Al Kaysouni, Mahmoud Hijazi, and others.

It also featured veteran actor Tawfik Abdel Hamid making his comeback to the small screen after 12 years of absence.

Hagag, born on September 22, 1986, in Milano, Italy to Egyptian parents, and she spent most of her life abroad, where she studied mass communication and worked in the marketing field for some time.

Upon her return to Egypt, she started an acting career with her role in the film “Safari” in 2010, and in the same year, she took a role in the TV series “Azmet Sokkar”, which achieved great success.

In 2012, Hagag portrayed the famous Egyptian belly dancer Samia Gamal in the biopic “Karioka.” Her role in the film “Ba’d El Toufan” (After the Flood) was met with critical acclaim, and she won a prize for her role in the Marrakesh film festival.

She co-starred in a number of films and TV productions with prominent stars in the film industry and became known for her roles in 2014 's “Segn El-Nisaa”, and 2012's “Rakam Maghol”.
