Rady: Sisi Follows up on National Service Projects

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met today, Sunday, with Director General of the National Service Projects Organization (NSPO) Major General Mostafa Amin and discussed the status of the projects of in a number of sectors nationwide, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Maj. Gen. Mostafa Amin reviewed a number of the NSPO’s projects, particularly in the field of land reclamation in Sinai, which aim to increase its agricultural production of various crops. This is done within the framework of the organization’s role in supporting the state’s sustainable development efforts.

These projects also seek to provide citizens with food security needs and create new agricultural and development societies that contribute to making full use of human capacities by providing new direct and indirect job opportunities.

Sisi asked that all technical, scientific and environmental aspects, especially water sources and soil type, of studies on land reclamation in Sinai should be examined with a view to achieving the best production rates for agricultural crops. This would help promote higher economic returns, establish related industries, and ensure provision of all services and facilities, particularly the electric power supply, in the new lands in line with the Sinai development project.
