Pyramids FC have managed to beat Al Ahly, Zamalek for the signature of Egypt's U23 and ENPPI defender Osama Galal.

Galal is one of the most promising prospects in Egyptian football right now and is often dubbed Egypt's version of Italian Legend Paolo Maldini, with many clubs, most notably Al Ahly & Zamalek, revealing interest in signing him.

During the 2019/20 season, Galal made 25 appearances for the Petroleum club, helping them to a solid sixth place.

However, he played just twice for ENPPI this season and was deemed to be so close to joining Zamalek this winter.

But it was Pyramids FC who secured his signature, becoming their first winter signing as they want to improve on their disappointing start to the season.

They managed to win just three games from their opening 10, drawing six while losing once as they sit fifth, eight points behind league leaders Zamalek.

Galal, 23, is a product of ENPPI youth sector, making 28 appearances for the club since getting promoted to the first team.

He also spent two seasons out on loan at Petrojet and Misr El-Makkasa, where he played 16 games for both clubs.

On the international level, Galal is part of the Egypt U23 national team and was a key part of the team that lifted the 2019 U23 AFCON, playing the full 90 minutes of every game.
