Egypt's Pyramids FC settled the ongoing controversy over their relationship with the Saudi Chairman of General Authority for Entertainment, Turki Al-Sheikh, the previous Pyramids owner.
The club management affirmed that the current owner of Spanish club Almeria has no relationship with the club.
Pyramids said in a statement on Twitter, "Pyramids club first and foremost is an Egyptian club and aims to contribute to the development and elevation of Egyptian football and to have a positive impact in the field of sports investment in our beloved Egypt, and the club has a large number of investors, headed by Salem Al Shamsi ".
The statement added, "Pyramids club confirms that Turki Al Sheikh does not own any share in his name among the club's investors, and that his relationship has completely ended since the end of last season, and with the transfer of the club's ownership to the benefit of the current management headed by Salem Al Shamsi, who is making a huge effort with the executive management to put Pyramids in a decent position."

This statement came in response to a message that Al-Sheikh had sent to the CEO of Pyramids Club, Mamdouh Eid, through his personal Facebook page saying: “It is not correct what you do, Mamdouh Eid, if you do something and you are convinced about it, then face people with it, don't use Turki Al-Sheikh's name in what you are doing in Pyramids Club, I invite Salem Al Shamsi to resolve the matter."
It is noteworthy that the Emirati businessman, Salem Al Shamsi, had acquired Pyramids Club from Turki Al-Sheikh in June of 2019.
