President Sisi: We look forward to ending the region’s conflicts and crises through peaceful means

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said, “We hope that the US President Donald Trump will play the role we expect of him to achieve the long-awaited goal of establishing a Palestinian state living side by side with Israel and to see peaceful coexistence in the Middle East among all the peoples of the region.”

Regarding the situation in Syria, President Sisi stressed, in a speech during a lunch hosted by King Felipe VI of Spain, the importance of starting a political process that includes all segments of the Syrian people.

He expressed Egypt's aspiration to end the conflicts and crises that our world is witnessing, whether in Sudan, Libya, Yemen or others, as well as the Russian-Ukrainian war, by peaceful means to ensure the preservation of the sovereignty of those countries and the capabilities of their people.

President Sisi renewed his thanks to the King and Queen of Spain for their generous hospitality, stressing his aspiration to continue efforts to deepen aspects of cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
