President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi made a phone call today with Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh, during which the two presidents affirmed their pride in the historical relations and close fraternal ties between the two brotherly countries, stressing their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic said that the call focused on developments in a number of issues in the African continent, where the two presidents affirmed the continuation of joint work to enhance cooperation among the countries of the region, consolidate stability and respect the sovereignty of states, within the framework of efforts aimed at meeting the aspirations of the peoples of the region towards development and prosperity.
They also discussed the situation in the Red Sea region and ways to ensure the stability and safety of maritime navigation.
