President Sisi Congratulates Starmer on British Election Win

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Friday congratulated Keir Starmer after the Labour Party won a majority in the British general elections, stressing the aspiration for continued cooperation between Egypt and Britain to achieve development and stability at the international and regional levels.

President Sisi said - in a  post on his official social media page - “I extend my sincere congratulations to Mr. Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, on the occasion of the Labor Party obtaining a majority in the elections, and his assignment to assume the British government, wishing him success,"

He added "We look forward to continued cooperation between our two countries, which reflects the close relations between the two friendly countries and peoples, and the joint work that brings us together to achieve development and stability, at the international and regional levels.”
