President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in Qatari capital, Doha, on Sunday, marking the beginning of his Gulf tour, which includes stops in both Qatar and Kuwait.
He was received at Hamad International Airport by Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
President El-Sisi is scheduled to hold talks with Sheikh Tamim during the visit.
The discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation across various fields and addressing regional developments—particularly the Palestinian issue and efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
President El-Sisi is also expected to meet with members of the Qatari business community to explore opportunities for economic collaboration.
Following his visit to Qatar, Sisi will travel to Kuwait, the second stop on his Gulf tour.
The visit underscores the deep strategic ties between the two countries and their shared commitment to expanding economic and investment cooperation.
In Kuwait, Sisi will meet with His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, as well as Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince, and Sheikh Fahad Youssef Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Acting Prime Minister.
