President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received today, Tuesday, President João Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola and current Chairperson of the African Union.
The official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the meeting included a closed-door discussion session, followed by an expanded session with the participation of delegations from both countries.
The discussions addressed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly economic, trade, and investment. The two sides also discussed mechanisms to support the work of the African Union and enhance continental integration, in addition to efforts to maintain peace and security on the African continent.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesman, added that the two presidents witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries.
