Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities received a detailed report from Reviewpro, one of the largest international specialized companies, regarding the evaluations of visitors to Egyptian tourist destinations for the services provided in hotel establishments.
This evaluation is based on their experiences during their visits to Egypt in the first quarter of this year, which they recorded on major travel and tourism platforms such as (Tripadvisor, Google, Booking, Holidaycheck, Tophotels).
This comes as part of the Ministry's commitment to improving the quality of tourism services provided at Egyptian tourist destinations and enhancing the tourist experience, which is one of the main pillars of the national tourism strategy in Egypt, being implemented since November 2022.
The report reviewed and analyzed visitors' evaluations of hotel establishments in the governorates of South Sinai, the Red Sea, Luxor, Aswan, Greater Cairo, and Alexandria, and the services provided there. It included many positive indicators, confirming a noticeable improvement in the level of tourism services provided.
Ghada Shalaby, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs, expressed the importance of this report as it highlights the strengths reflected in these evaluations, alongside working on improving and developing the points that receive some remarks from tourists.
This contributes to enhancing the tourist experience in Egypt and attracting more inbound tourism to the Egyptian destination, emphasizing that the quality of services provided to tourists has become one of the most important elements attracting tourists to one destination over another.
She also pointed out that this aligns with the feedback received through the Ministry's hotline (19654), including complaints and suggestions from visitors and tourists at the Egyptian tourist destination, as part of the Ministry's commitment to providing means and mechanisms for communication with all visitors and ensuring the quality of services provided to them.
Mr. Mohamed Ayoub, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Hotel Establishments, explained that according to this report, the hotel establishments at Egyptian tourist destinations, according to the Global Review Index (GRI), which measures the quality of services provided based on visitors' opinions, received a score of 85.1%, with an improvement rate of 1.1% compared to the same period last year.
He added that the report includes an evaluation of the quality of service provided at hotel establishments, the performance level of the employees, and their professional and courteous interaction with guests. It also covers the excellent experience that guests enjoy during their stay and the availability of recreational services.
