Prime Minister (PM) Mostafa Madbouly witnessed the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the Education Development Fund, affiliated with the Cabinet, and the Arab Council for Childhood and Development.

The protocol aims to enhance the institutional capacity of the Early Childhood Development Center at the Educational City in Sixth of October City, making it a central hub for supporting several kindergartens in the surrounding area.

The event took place at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, in the presence of Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) and Chairman of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development.

The cooperation protocol was signed by Dr. Rasha Sharaf, Secretary-General of the Education Development Fund, and Dr. Hassan El-Bilawy, Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development.

For his part, PM emphasized the government’s strong commitment to providing high-quality education at all levels, starting from early childhood education. He highlighted that the kindergarten stage is crucial in shaping children's awareness and personalities, making it essential to prepare them efficiently for primary education.

Dr. Madbouly referred to the "Alpha Generation Kindergartens" project, initiated by the Education Development Fund, which aims to build the capacities of young children and prepare them for primary education. This aligns with Egypt’s leadership vision of building an advanced and integrated society that prioritizes youth development.

On the sidelines of the signing, Dr. Rasha Sharaf stated that the cooperation protocol represents an Egyptian-Arab collaboration to support the "Alpha Generation Kindergartens" project. It aims to develop the early childhood education system and create a qualitative shift in this vital sector by enhancing the institutional capacity of the Early Childhood Development Center. The project also seeks to establish a distinguished model for professional development centers for kindergartens (M-PDPS) that will provide continuous professional development services to the center and a cluster of kindergartens within the same geographical area.

Dr. Sharaf emphasized that this ambitious project reflects the state’s commitment to advancing early childhood education according to the highest educational standards. It also strengthens regional and international partnerships to support this sector, contributing to sustainable development and preparing future generations for global challenges.

The initiative aims to provide a comprehensive learning environment that meets the latest global standards and equips children with essential skills.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of AGFUND and the Arab Council for Childhood and Development, underscored the importance of raising generations in a healthy educational, psychological, and developmental environment to prepare them for future challenges and enable them to contribute positively to their societies. He stressed that early childhood education is a fundamental investment for the future and sustainable development.

The Saudi Prince expressed his enthusiasm for elevating the Early Childhood Development Center at the Educational City to a distinguished regional and international institution.

He highlighted that the center has played a vital role since its establishment in 2003 under the initiative of the late HRH Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, the founding president of AGFUND.

HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal extended his gratitude to the Egyptian leadership and government for their dedication to fostering collaboration with development institutions.

He reaffirmed AGFUND’s commitment to continuing its support for joint efforts to enhance human development in the Arab world for the fourth consecutive decade.
