PM Follows Up on Latest Developments of Grand Egyptian Museum Project

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly conducted a field visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum to follow up on the current progress of ongoing works in preparation for the museum's opening. 

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly conducted a field visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum to follow up on the current progress of ongoing works in preparation for the museum's opening.He was accompanied by various officials including the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, the Governor of Giza, and the General Supervisor of Engineering for the project. The Prime Minister emphasized the global anticipation for the museum's opening that's expected to attract numerous tourists to Egypt.

The tour included inspections of the Tutankhamun Halls and the Sun Boats Building, with updates on the completion of various areas, such as the Khufu Boats Museum, the main halls' caves, and the restoration center. Efforts are being made to expedite the remaining works, particularly the installation of the second Khufu boat and final finishing touches.

In addition to the museum's preparations, there are significant developments in the surrounding area. These include the creation of green spaces, aesthetic designs, as well as enhancements to infrastructure and transportation.

The Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly also explored the official museum store where he meticulously examined the array of artifacts on display. He underscored the need to expand the collection of replicas ensuring tourists have an abundance of diverse, high-quality options to choose from.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of completing all tasks promptly to ensure a successful grand opening event that reflects Egypt's rich heritage and culture. 

The ongoing improvements in the vicinity of the museum aim to enhance the overall visitor experience and showcase Egypt's commitment to preserving and promoting its ancient civilization.
