Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly made a phone call to the Egyptian handball team on Friday to support them before facing Spain for the bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Madbouly saluted the players for their outstanding performance in the Olympics, wishing them success in Saturday's match.
This came during a telephone conversation with the Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi, Captain Ahmed Al-Ahmar, Ali Zain and Ayman Salah.
"The Egyptians are proud of your outstanding performance during the Olympics," he told them.
