Planning Min. Predicts  Egypt's GDP to Reach EGP 9.22 Trillion

The strategic directions of the 22/2023 plan focus on activating the national program for structural reforms, as well as strengthening the international competitiveness of the Egyptian economy, by supporting the pillars of the knowledge economy and the digital economy, and moving towards a green economy.

The plan aims to address climate change and cope with its repercussions on the ecosystem and the national economy, as Egypt hosts the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference COP27.

It is estimated that the gross domestic product  (GDP) in the year of the plan will reach about  EGP 9.22 trillion at current prices, with a growth rate of 16.1% over the output of the previous year, which amounted to about EGP 7.94 trillion, and the GDP at constant prices is estimated at EGP 8.4 trillion in the year of the 22/2023 plan.
