Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, confirmed that the sustainable development plan for the fiscal year 2022/2023 aims to implement the criteria of efficiency and effectiveness in choosing the investments to be implemented during the year.
The minister pointed out that the priority is to complete the projects being implemented, which ended with at least 70%.
She said, during the plenary session of the House of Representatives, today: "If high economic growth is a necessary condition and a goal of the development plan, it is not sufficient."
Al Saeed added that "the ultimate goal is to reduce unemployment rates and raise employment rates."
She explained that the plan aims to raise the capacity of the labor market to accommodate 900,000 inpiduals, and to reach unemployment rates of 7.5%, in addition to continuing to implement the national program for structural reforms and developing the technical education system.
