Pin Floyd members David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Guy Pratt have reunited together alongside Nitin Sawhney and Andriy Khlyvnyuk to record a new single for the Ukrainian people.

The song will be released on April 8, and it will be dedicated to all Ukrainian people amid the Russian military operation in Ukraine.

“Hey, Hey, Rise Up!” is the the first original music from the band since 1994, the year when the band's last album The Division Bell released.

In 2014, the band released some of old and unreleased stuff from their previous albums sessions in a new album called "The Endless River."

Last month, Pink Floyd removed some of their music from Russian and Belarusian digital music platforms to supper Ukraine.

In a statement about the new song, Gilmour said, “I hope it will receive wide support and publicity. We want to raise funds for humanitarian charities, and raise morale. We want express our support for Ukraine and in that way, show that most of the world thinks that it is totally wrong for a superpower to invade the independent democratic country that Ukraine has become.”
