At least nine people were killed due to the floods and landslides that struck Philippines, local officials and disaster management said on Monday.
The officials revealed that six of the victims drowned in the floods in the southern provinces of Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur.
The National Disaster Agency reported that two people were killed in a landslide in the eastern province of Leyte, while another death was reported in Davao City.
The floods in Philippines displaced more than 36,000 people and caused damage to infrastructure, estimated at more than $ 2.3 million.
