US Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks announced that Washington has sent more than 3 million rockets, mortars and artillery shells to Ukraine, since the start of the special military operation.
"Over the past 18 months, we've sent more than 3.1 million rocket, missile, mortar and artillery shells to Ukraine," Hicks said at a defense conference in Washington.
She noted that the volume of US military aid to Ukraine exceeds $43 billion.
On Thursday, Biden administration asked Congress to provide more than $13 billion in emergency defense aid to Ukraine and an additional $8 billion for humanitarian support through the end of the year.
