The Antiquities Museum of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is displaying part of the papyrus of the book "Imi Dwat" or the famous book "What is in the Underworld".

This aligns with the joint cooperation between the BA, the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NEMC) in Fustat.

This papyrus is of great archaeological value, as it was displayed in the "Life in the Other World" hall of the Antiquities Museum. It dates back to the 18th dynasty (around 1539-1292 BC).

The book portrays the journey of the sun god during the twelve hours of the night. The papyrus was displayed in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir.

Later on, it was shown in the NEMC, and then it was prepared for display in the BA permanently in the "Life in the Other World" hall.⁩
