A member of the Palestinian National Action Committee, Dr. Ratiba Al-Natsheh, confirmed that the situation in the Gaza Strip after 320 days of the Israeli aggression is getting worse day after day, and after the continued displacement orders for citizens by the occupation forces and targeting areas that the occupation authorities are supposed to call "safe areas", a feeling of instability and fear has begun to dominate the citizens.
Al-Natsheh said, "There have been warnings for several weeks about the spread of diseases and epidemics that had disappeared in Palestine; including polio, which cannot be controlled unless we are able to obtain vaccinations and immunizations for at least 95% of children, and this task seems difficult and almost impossible with the delay in the entry of vaccinations and also with the continued displacement of residents and the inability to reach health centers and primary care to receive vaccinations for newborns."
She added that there are many diseases and epidemics that have begun to spread in the sector other than polio, such as smallpox, lung and skin diseases among the displaced, especially children, as a result of the lack of a healthy environment and the lack of sufficient vaccinations to prevent diseases.
