Palestine’s Minister and Supervisor-General of Official Media, Ahmed Assaf, demanded that Arab and international media focus on revealing what he termed "unprecedented, barbaric aggression amounting to genocide and ethnic cleansing" across Gaza and the West Bank.

Speaking at the Arab Information Ministers Council session, Assaf emphasized that exposing Israel's actions is a necessity to counter distortion and present facts to the world.

Assaf highlighted the grave cost paid by Palestinian journalists, noting that 260 media workers—nearly a quarter of the sector in Gaza—have been killed in the past two years. He stated that the aggression targeted media institutions and their personnel in an attempt to halt their work.

"The Palestinian journalist, despite limited capabilities, was the most capable of revealing the truth," Assaf said. He added that the offensive has caused over 300,000 casualties and destroyed nearly 80% of Gaza's infrastructure. Assaf stressed that targeting journalists is a war crime, asserting that peace requires ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state.
