Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt, Aamir Shouket, held a meeting with H.E. Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din Mustafa, Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production, to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral ties.

Focus on Defence and Military Partnership

According to the Pakistan Embassy in Cairo, the talks centered on recent high-level exchanges between the civil and military leadership of Pakistan and Egypt, highlighting opportunities to deepen and broaden existing defence and military cooperation.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination, noting that the partnership serves shared national security and strategic objectives.

Expanding Civil-Military Engagement

The meeting also reviewed recent official visits and underlined the importance of expanding cooperation beyond traditional military frameworks to include civil-military collaboration. This, officials said, will allow for greater exchange of expertise, joint projects, and capacity-building efforts between the two countries.

Strengthening Strategic Ties

Pakistan and Egypt enjoy longstanding relations built on shared cultural, religious, and political foundations. The latest meeting underscores a mutual commitment to expand the scope of collaboration, particularly in defence production, military training, and security coordination.

Observers note that Cairo and Islamabad have increasingly aligned their positions on regional security challenges, with growing emphasis on joint military-industrial initiatives.
