Opening of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Cairo 2023

The opening ceremony of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup "Cairo 2023" was held at Cairo Stadium on Thursday evening.

The tournament runs until April 30 and is one of the series of world championships qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The opening ceremony was attended by a large number of audiences, and the concert included an artistic performance by musician Hisham Kharma.

Dr. Ehab Amin, President of the Egyptian Gymnastics Federation, said that 155 players are participating in the championship, 97 men and 58 women, in addition to the technical, administrative and medical staff and Egypt's guests from the International Gymnastics Federation and continental federations.

The ceremony began with the national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt, then the welcoming words from Dr. Ihab Amin, President of the Egyptian and African Gymnastics Federations, a speech by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and then a speech by the President of the International Gymnastics Federation. The ceremony concluded with a queue of presentations of the participating countries.

The ceremony was attended by: Qatari Ali Al-Hitmi, First Vice President of the International Gymnastics Federation, Dr. Ihab Amin, President of the Egyptian and African Gymnastics Federations, Dr. Hassan Mustafa, President of the International Handball Federation, and Ahmed Nasser, President of the Arab Federations.
