The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain Pedro Sánchez received the members of the ministerial committee assigned by the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit under the chairmanship of His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriatesof Palestine, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Mr. Ayman Al-Safadi, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Hakan Fidan, and His Excellency Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Madrid, Spain.

The Ministerial Committee members expressed their appreciation for the Kingdom of Spain's recognition of the State of Palestine and their commitment to continue to provide all means of support to activate the recognition of the Palestinian state to ensure that the entitlements of the Palestinian people are met and serve security and peace in the region and the world in the face of extremism, the spread of violence and the continuation of violations of international law.

The meeting reviewed the efforts of the Ministerial Committee supporting the issue of recognition of the Palestinian State and the urgent need to take the necessary steps to implement the two-state solution by establishing the Palestinian State on the borders of 4 June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in light of the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international initiatives.

The meeting also discussed the efforts made to stop the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, the city of Rafah, and its surroundings. They emphasized the importance of an immediate ceasefire and the need to introduce sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid across all parts of the Strip.

The meeting touched on ways to address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and to halt all unilateral and illegitimate Israeli actions in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. The goal is to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace, uphold the rights of the Palestinian people, and ensure security in the region.
