October 6 University (O6U) announced that a group of its students ranked second in Enactus-Egypt`s competition to support entrepreneurship in Egypt and contribute to the implementation of development projects.
6700 students of more than 40 universities and institutes were competing in various fields this year's event.
They provided innovative solutions that can be effectively applied for the development of society to prepare a generation of entrepreneurs for a better world.
O6U said in a statement that the team traveled to Germany to represent Egypt in the international competition.
The university explained that its project focused on improving the jasmine cultivation in the village of "Shubra Balula" called the village of Jasmine.
In their project, they discussed the possibility of taking advantage of the differences wastes resulting from agricultural plants and converting them to paper and solve the problem of removing trees and environmental pollution.
The team also ranked first in the standards of one of the major companies in the field of nutrition, construction, communications and universities level in achieving the three objectives of raising the standard of living, economic and environmental.
