Under the auspices of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the 8th edition of national youth conference (NYC) will kick off next Saturday, September 14, at Al Manara international conference center, New Cairo.
Since his assumption of office, El Sisi has realized that young people are the key pillar of the Egyptian state and its path towards development and progress. Hence, he is always keen to support them in all possible ways and forms.
In 2016, the president launched an extensive dialogue with Egypt’s youth in order to be more familiar with their dreams and problems, through effective and successful national conferences.
The NYC Attendees
The conference will be attended by around 1600 youth from presidential leadership program (PLP), universities, political parties, as well as young businessmen and those who registered through the official website of the forum.
The Conference Agenda
The one-day event will include three sessions, foremost of which “Ask the president”.
“Ask the President” session represents one of the most important segments of the NYC in which the president tackled several important topics that occupied public opinion at the time by answering the people’s questions.
Citizens could submit their questions through the following e-website: Askthepresident.net
The Conference Idea
The NYC is held periodically under the patronage of Egyptian head of state.
The idea of the forum came in response to El Sisi’s call for convening a national conference for youth, which was launched during the celebration of the Egyptian youth day on January 9, 2016.
The 1st NYC was held in December 2016 at Sharm al Sheikh city, and the 7th edition was held last July 30 at the New administrative capital (NAC).
The NYCs has contributed greatly to issuing many key recommendations, including; the launching of World Youth forum, and the Arab-African Youth Forum.
