Nourhan to Participate with “Sound of Music” in National Theatre Festival

Celebrity actress Nourhan will participate in the national theatre festival as a Project Manager for the all time favorite Musical “Sound of Music” a production of an International school in Tanta.

The show have received positive reviews from the committee and was chosen to take part in the Children’s theatre competition on Sunday 18th and Monday 19th of August.

The Drama Play will be showcased in English in an exciting acting musical format . The children have learned simplified techniques include the basics of those which are taught in the high institute of Theater Arts.

The students will perform their songs LIVE, not in playback strategy and not even lip sing to their own previously recorded voices! In addition, they will also perform acting drama and expression. They will implement acting syllabuses they have learned for 3 months in a Theater Arts comprehensive Course.



The course features an intro to all aspects of theatre from the light designing and light Management, set design , stage management, singing, choreography and even blocking.

Nourhan said in exclusive statements to SEE, "I was very happy with the experience and the positive energy I have felt while transferring my experience in acting to these children, in addition to the knowledge I have received on the hands of my Australian professor, who oversaw my certificate which is validated from Switzerland for teaching Theatre in the IB educational system."

Nourhan has been working in the field of training children for 8 years now. She is an IB Theatre Certified teacher .

The production was taken from the classical story “Sound of Music” and holds the same name.



The show received positive reviews from the audience when it was staged last June; it was attended by many renowned actors like Hamza El-Ely, Nehal Ambar, Abeer Mounir, Eman Ayoub, Merna Walid, Simon as well as the president of the Tanta university.

The show was presented in the Cultural Center in Tanta managed by the devoted chairman Azza Abdel Fattah, who dedicated all resources in order to spread joy among the children.
