New Delta in Egypt

It is very amazing that every day you have a new hope, a new project, a new window to life opened  by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for us.. A new delta for providing  development opportunities to the Egyptian people.. Such Egyptian hope, led by the president, stems from the core of Egypt’s mission to humanity.

The new delta, in which Egypt is racing against time to complete it, is a new development region... one of the giant projects in the agricultural, industrial and social fields, it is being built on an area of more than one million acres in northwestern Egypt, It adds 15% to the agricultural area used to achieve food security, it also extends from the north of the oases to the south of Wadi al-Natrun, east and west of the Qattara Depression. The project includes more than 688,000 acres, south of the Dabaa axis, west of the Future of Egypt national project, it makes use of the giant road network and ports, and links the administrative borders of the governorates of Matrouh, Beheira and Giza together.

In the region and within the next two years, The Ministry of Agriculture is planning to plant more than one million and 100 thousand feddans, of which half a million are in the Future of Egypt project, and another 600 thousand feddans are in the Dabaa axis. the scheme of the project targets young graduates. I made sure that the project is being implemented basing on detailed studies according to the president's directives to carry out projects in the new and old villages through  a system that accommodates the latest technology in the field of developed irrigation and modern agricultural technology. The system of the crop classification  has already been established for agricultural projects. The strategic crops include wheat, beans, lentils, corn, soybeans and other important horticultural crops, vegetables and various types of fruits on which the animal production and oil industry projects are based.

The New Delta project is no longer just plans, but has become a reality, and production will start by the end of this year.. It has become a development necessary project  to provide a decent life for Egyptians, accommodate the population increase in the old delta and valley, achieve food security, to provide job opportunities and to increase the area of the agricultural lands. Urbanization and development represent Egypt’s message to humanity, the new project, which has been postponed more than once over the years, has become a necessity imposed by regional and political dimensions and challenges and the global crisis caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, Egypt will not accept any action that threatens development projects in the whole region, including Egypt.

The project is being implemented by watchful eyes of Work battalions led by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and work teams in the Ministries of Irrigation, Agriculture, Local Development, Housing, Petroleum and Energy. The scientific committees meet weekly, with the participation of the concerned ministries and the National Service Projects Organization of the Armed Forces, to discuss the excavation work, the extension of water lines and the treatment plant.
