Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's corruption trial has been delayed for two months over Coronavirus outbreak.

Israel’s Justice Ministry said that the trial scheduled to be opened on March 17 with the reading of an indictment against Israel’s PM in three graft cases, would begin on May 24, due to developments related to the spread of the coronavirus.

Netanyahu, Israel's longest-serving leader, denied any wrongdoing during the investigations.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Israel has risen to 178 as of Saturday, according to the Israeli Ministry of Health.

It is worth mentioning that, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a global pandemic as the new virus has rapidly spread to more than 121,000 people from Asia to the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

More cases of the virus, which causes respiratory disease Covid-19, continue to emerge, with outbreaks in South Korea, Italy, and Iran.

China– the epicenter of coronavirus outbreak-is trying with all its might to confront the effects resulting from the outbreak of the new coronavirus via a series of strong and effective measures that seek to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by this deadly virus.

Transmission of viruses between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough. They can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose or eyes.

It is known that older people appear to be more vulnerable to the effects of the emerging virus.
