Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's office said that Yariv Levin, Deputy Minister of Justice, will assume Netanyahu's duties during his illness.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suffered an aneurysm and underwent surgery to treat it, and was under complete anesthesia.

Doctors said that they discovered Netanyahu's hernia during a regular examination.

The Israeli Prime Minister underwent a pacemaker implant last July.

Netanyahu also previously contracted the flu and was absent from his office for several days.

Netanyahu performed the pacemaker implant surgery during a period of Israeli protests against changes to the judicial system proposed by the extremist government.

These demonstrations stopped due to the October 7 Hamas attack on southern Israel and the taking of 250 hostages in Gaza, according to Israeli statistics.
