The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Jens Stoltenberg, revealed that there are ongoing discussions among the leaders of the military alliance to ensure that Ukraine will not be attacked again by Russia after the end of the current military operation, indicating that there are fears of dragging the alliance into a larger conflict.
Stoltenberg said - in an online interview on the sidelines of the Democracy Summit held in Copenhagen yesterday, Monday - that "there are ongoing consultations," ahead of the NATO summit scheduled for next July.
"We don't know when this war will end, but what we do know is that when it does, we must be able to prevent history from repeating itself," he added.
