NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the Russian-Ukrainian conflict has now turned into a "logistical battle", so Ukraine's allies need to increase weapons and ammunition production.
"NATO will stand by Ukraine no matter how long it takes, as we cannot allow Russian President Vladimir Putin to win in Ukraine," Stoltenberg said in a press statment.
On whether Ukraine will be allowed to join the defensive military alliance, Stoltenberg replied, "NATO's position has not changed. Ukraine will become a member of NATO, but the main focus now is to ensure that Ukraine is an independent and sovereign state in Europe."
