National Center for Translation Announces Winners of Its Annual Awards

Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, has approved the list of winners for the second edition of the National Center for Translation Awards. The winning works are as follows:

The Jaber Asfour Award for Translation in the field of Literature and Critical Studies:

Winner: Mohamed Salah El-Din El-Fuli for his translation of the novel "The Beast" by Carmen Mola, from Spanish. The translation was published by "Aseer al Kotb" Publishing House.

The Samira Moussa Award for Translation in the field of Scientific Culture and Science Simplification:

Winner: Ahmed Amr Abdel Moneim Sharif for his translation of the book "IQ: A Journey from the Brain to the Soul: A Neural Theory of Consciousness" by Giulio Tononi, from English. The translation was published by Newbook Publishing and Distribution House.

The Jamal Hamdan Award for Translation in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences:

Joint Winners:

Mohamed Hamed Darwish for his translation of the book "The Map of Knowledge: How the World Lost the Ideas of the Classical Age and How It Retrieved Them: A History of Seven Cities" by Violet Moller. The translation was published by Hindawi Foundation.

Yasser Mohamed Sediek for his translation of the book "Master of the Game: Henry Kissinger and the Art of Middle East Diplomacy" by Martin Indyk. The translation was published by Nahdet Misr Publishing House.

Youth Award Category:

First Place: Yasmine El-Araby Abdel-Ghani for her translation of the book "Underland: A Journey Through Deep Time" by Robert Macfarlane, from English. The translation was published by Hindawi Foundation.

Second Place (Joint Winners):

Menatallah Saleh for her translation of the book "Forty Years of Reform and Economic Development in China" by Tsai Fang and others, from Chinese. The translation was published by Safafa Publishing and Distribution House.

Samir Samir El-Matrawy for his translation of the book "Forty Years of Reform and Economic Development in China" by Tsai Fang and others, from Chinese. The translation was published by Safafa Publishing and Distribution House.

Third Place: Sarah Mohamed Badawy Taha for her translation of the book "Navigating the 21st Century: The Ten Most Dangerous Challenges Facing Humanity and How to Overcome Them" by Julian Cribb, from English. The translation was published by Hindawi Foundation.
