When the cache of mummies in "Al Der Al Bahari" on the western mainland of Luxor was revealed in 1881, about 40 mummies of Egyptian kings and queens were discovered.
Among these mummies was one of a young man of approximately 20-25 years old who was not mummified, but was wrapped in goat skin, which was known among Ancient Egyptians, according to the story of Sinohe, for being filthy and unclean. We found that this young man's mouth was open and he was screaming; Hence, this mummy was called the "Young Screamer"or the "Unknown Man E".
Scientists were baffled in the identity of this person, and most of them believed that this weird mummy belonged to the king of the Hittites's Son, who was sent to Egypt to marry Queen Ankh-S-N-Amun, the widow of King Tutankhamun.
It is well known that after the death of King Tut, the Queen sent a letter to the King of the Hittites requesting to marry his son; as she didn't want to marry an Egyptian.
It is highly believed that the reason for this is that she refused to marry "E" the priest, who was very old; Therefore, she asked to marry the king of the Hittites's son.
The king then got suspicious about that letter and sent a messenger to make sure of the letter's righteousness, after that the messenger returned to inform him that the letter was for true and she really wants to marry his son. So he sent his son to Egypt, but "Horemoheb" the commander of the Egyptian army killed him. Therefore, this mummy remained unknown inside the Egyptian Museum.
Another mummy found, was of a young woman whose body was mummified to a high standard, and from her mummification style some believed that this mummy may belong to the daughter of King Ramses II, Princess Mrit-Amon especially because the name was written on linen rolls, and there is another princess with the same name. She is the daughter of King Seknneraa, who started the struggle against the Hyksos, and used to live in Thebes while the Hyksos lived in the delta in an area known as Avaris and known nowadays as "Tal Al-Dabaa region".
Her body was mummified making her appear like she was crying, with an open mouth and her head tilted to the side, in addition to the left foot being bent.
Experts were confused about the interpretation of the mummy of the screaming man and that of the screaming woman.
But the good news is that after about 3000 years the secrets of these mummies will be revealed for the first time, and we will show to the whole world the secret of the screaming man and the secret of the screaming woman.
The world of mummies is exciting and mysterious, and mummies will march through the streets of Cairo in a royal demonstration for the first time from the Egyptian Museum until they reach the Museum of Civilization in Fustat.
