Egyptian duo Muhannad Shaaban and Ahmed El-Gendy, players of the national modern pentathlon team, achieved a great achievement in the World Cup of Modern Pentathlon, which was held in Ankara, Turkey, from 11 to 16 April.
Muhannad Shaaban won the gold medal and first place in the men's singles final with 1527 points. Ahmed El-Gendy won third place and the bronze medal with 1500 points, and South Korea's Jun Won Jat came in second place and the silver medal with 1510 points.
Muhannad Shaaban qualified for the final round after winning first place with 1193 points, and Ahmed Al-Jundi succeeded in qualifying after winning third place with 1186 points in the semi-final competitions.
