Zamalek striker Mostafa Mohamed was named by French news outlet France Football have as one of the top rising African goal scorers.

Among European outlets, France Football has been one of the primary platforms that promote African talent, namely through their African player of the month award.

In a recent post, they have listed three forwards based in African clubs that are the real rising stars on the continent, with one of those players being Zamalek striker Mohamed.

In their paragraph about Mohamed, they said “In the footsteps of Mido or Amr Zaki, also passed by the Zamalek, Mohamed is poised to become the new star of Egypt. This very complete attacker, with a powerful strike, is nicknamed the bulldozer on the banks of the Nile.”

They also mentioned that Zamalek's star player has been linked with teams in Spain as well as Scottish side Rangers and Belgian giants Anderlecht.

One of the other players mentioned by France Football was Karim Aribi – the Algerian striker at ES Sahel who has been compared to his compatriots Islam Slimani and Baghdad Bounedjah, largely due to his stature.

The final player listed was DR Congo’s Jackson Muleka, who was the top scorer of the CAF Champions League with 7 goals for TP Mazembe this season prior to the coronavirus lockdown.
