Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has issued a decision appointing Engineer Mohamed El-Goski as the Executive Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones for a one-year term, as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen the investment climate and stimulate economic growth.
El-Goski brings more than two decades of professional experience across both the public and private sectors, with a strong background in planning, investment attraction, and the development of policies that support a competitive business environment. His career reflects extensive involvement in shaping strategies aimed at improving Egypt’s investment and trade performance.
Prior to his new role, El-Goski served as Assistant Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade for Planning, Trade, and Digital Transformation. In that capacity, he led initiatives focused on expanding Egypt’s foreign trade capabilities and enhancing international partnerships, while working on mechanisms to improve the efficiency of investment and trade systems and boost Egypt’s global economic competitiveness.
He previously held the position of Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, where he headed the Central Department for International Relations.
