The Egyptian Football Association (EFA), chaired by Amr El-Ganainy, announced on Sunday that Al Ahly's midfielder Moamen Zakaria would partake in the announcement of the Egyptian National team new T-shirt.

In statements, Mohamed Fadl, a member of the EFA's normalization committee, said that Zakaria would be the first one to wear the T-shirt as a symbol of "optimism."

He also said that the announcement of the new T-shirt would be via a short video on Sunday, then the EFA will post some photos on the social media platform on Monday.

" Zakaria will be the protagonist of the advertisement and we all support him. This is our message," Fadl added.

On September 2019, the 31-year-old player revealed his injury, which kept him away from football for six months, saying it was “a Psychological injury.”

“I suffered an injury in my knee. My mother was ill which left me down with none in my assistance,” Zakaria said.

“I will leave for a medical check-up in Germany to settle on the duration of the treatment,”  Zakaria said.

Zakaria joined the Red Devils in 2015 from Enpy following his loan to Zamalek. He moved to the Saudi’s club Ohod Al-Medina on loan in January before terminating his contract with the Club and returning to Cairo giants Al Ahly.
