Mohamed Salah, star of Liverpool FC and captain of Egypt’s national team, suffered a significant injury during his side’s clash against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League.
Salah was unable to complete the match, which took place last Wednesday in the second leg of the Round of 16, leaving the pitch in the 72' minute after experiencing discomfort.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot confirmed that Salah is dealing with a muscle injury, without disclosing the exact severity or specific muscle affected.
Slot revealed that Salah will miss Liverpool’s upcoming match against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.

He will also be unavailable for Egypt’s national team camp scheduled for March, dealing a major blow to head coach Hossam Hassan.
While no official recovery period has been announced, muscle injuries typically require careful management, meaning Salah’s return will depend on medical assessments in the coming days.
Liverpool fans and the Egyptian national team will now be anxiously awaiting further updates on the extent of the injury and how long the star forward will be sidelined.
