Egyptian actor Mo Ismail returned to Cairo Monday evening after 34 days of filming his second Indian feature, "Daveed: The Story of a Fighter".
The film is helmed by Govind Vishnu in his first directing experience. Ismail filmed his scenes in multiple locations in the State of Kerala, South India.
He is the only Egyptian actor in the Middle East to be part of Indian cinema as well as the first to take part in South Indian cinema, a popular industry competing with Bollywood for the throne of Indian cinema.
Ismail commented, "I'm glad to work again in Indian cinema after participating in the second part of "Khuda Haafiz", which was screened two years ago. It is one of the most prominent action films in Bollywood. I'm pleased to have participated in a unique work through Malayalam cinema; one of the most prominent cinemas in South India. Thus, it was a new and unique experience. It is the first of its kind as a sports drama film in the South film industry, especially Malayalam cinema,".
"The film scenes are based on action-packed revenge dramas. It sheds light on the world of fighters. Each confrontation is filmed as a work of art, " he added."The film aims at merging intense action scenes with a deep plot through characters. This makes the film an action-packed entertaining one for audiences all over the world,".
Ismail continued," I'm embodying the character of 'Senul Ahmedov'; the rival of the film's protagonist Antony Varghese who presents the character of the fighter "Abu" It is an action-packed film, written by Govind Vishnu and Deepu Rajeevan, through which they presented carefully-designed action scenes. Additionally, the film is entirely shot in Kerala,".
"The visual story of the film is presented through the cinematography of Salu K. Thomas, editing of Rakesh Cherumadam, and sound design of Renganaath Ravee," he added. "Furthermore, the cinematic experience is enriched by the music direction of Justin Varghese. "
"Daveed: The Story of a Fighter" also stars a number of Indian artists; Antony Varghese Pepe, Kichu Tellus, Jess Kukku, Lijomol Jose, Vijayaraghavan, and Saiju Kurup.
It is expected to be released between December and January.
