The U.S. Central Command announced on Friday, that a missile attack targeted forces affiliated with the International Coalition in the countryside of Deir Ezzor Governorate in Syria.
The Central Command said that the missile attack targeted the international coalition forces in the Al-Omar field area in Deir Ezzor countryside, known as the "Green Village".
It stated in the statement that the attack took place at 9:23 pm, Syrian time.
It indicated that the attack did not result in injuries or damage to the base or property of the international coalition.
The command confirmed that the U.S. forces in northeastern Syria are investigating the incident.
"This type of attack endangers international coalition forces and the civilian population and undermines hard-won stability and security in Syria and the region," said U.S. Central Command spokesman Colonel Joe Buccino.
The media reported that an intense international coalition warplanes flew over the skies of Deir ez-Zor, after missiles of unknown origin fell on the base of the Al-Omar oil field.
