The events organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture saw a significant turnout during the Eid al-Adha holiday, with state theaters and public cinemas being fully booked, generating substantial revenue in Cairo and other governorates.

Dr. Nevine El Kilany, Minister of Culture, expressed her happiness with the large public attendance at the Ministry of Culture's events held during the Eid al-Adha holiday across various governorates of the Republic.

The Minister of Culture emphasized that the ministry was keen to present a comprehensive artistic and cultural program that satisfies diverse tastes and age groups. The events included cinematic screenings, theatrical performances, folk art shows, and creative workshops for children, aiming to spread culture and arts and bring joy to the audience during the holiday.

The Minister extended her gratitude to all the ministry's employees and participants in these shows for their outstanding efforts in organizing these events during the Eid days.

The revenue of "Public Cinema" exceeded one and a half million pounds during the first days of the Eid, held in 20 cultural venues under the General Authority for Cultural Palaces. These venues screened four new films across 18 governorates.

The musical drama "Nostalgia 80/90," produced by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, chaired by Amr El-Basioni, and executed by the Central Administration for Artistic Affairs, chaired by artist Tamer Abdel Moneim, saw a significant audience turnout during its performance at the El Samer Theater in Agouza. The show featured performances by troupes from Sohag, Port Said, and the Freedom Troupe for Folk and Performing Arts.

All theaters under the Artistic House of Theatre, chaired by director Khaled Galal, were fully booked, showcasing 11 theatrical performances, including six new shows.

The National Theater saw the premiere of "Not Romeo and Juliet," inspired by William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." This play is presented by the National Theatre troupe, led by Dr. Ayman El-Shuai, starring artist Ali El-Haggar and actress Rania Farid Shawky, with poetic adaptation by Amin Haddad and directed by Essam El-Sayed.
